What I am trying to accomplish is to have excel open, then select another file, through windows explorer, and have it open with a new excel window. Not open the same excel window, with the same ribbon
When I open several excel files they all opens in the same window.. this just happened yesterday,.. I do not know what happened. I use Office 2010

In the advanced section of Excel Options, try checking the Show All Windows In The Task bar
