if you change filter values you need to right click on the table and choose Refresh

That does not seem to work for me

I have the csv file and excel file like you told me…

I think I see a refresh option… (using Excel 2013) …

But I get an error when I try it..

Probably I am doing something wrong because I know no PQ.

So here is the next VBA attempt…( Coding here https://www.excelfox.com/forum/showt...ll=1#post23211 , and in uploaded Excel file )

It is almost all done in memory. The temporary worksheet and all the extra shit in the Results worksheet is just for now, so that we can check that it is working and doing what you want.

So, there are two files, a csv file,
Itchy Bollocks.txt
, and the Main Excel file
FilTit2.xlsm

Just for now, for testing you should do this
_ download both files and put them in the same folder. They can be anywhere but just for now in the same place

_ open just the Excel file, FilTit2.xlsm

_ Go to TemporaryWorksheet.
Just for now, for testing, you must import the csv file by clicking on the button, Get Itchy Bollox

That should import the csv file, so then you should see this: You should now have Itchy Bollox

( Later I can make that done automatically into memory, but it is good to test that VBA csv file import works on your Excel )

_ In the Results worksheet there is mostly only your stuff initially in column A. I will leave that there, and my VBA coding will use columns C D E F …. etc so that I do not mess your stuff up

_ Now go to first worksheet, Filters
Then for example, write big in column G

Then hit Enter
You should see this:

There is also a lot of extra shit now in worksheet TemporaryWorksheet

That shit is not needed, we can get rid of it all later, and forget the whole TemporaryWorksheet, but for now it is showing you all the rest left .. like you see 100 then 86 84 64 60

You can now go back to the first worksheet and change or add some values in the filter columns…….and see what happens

I never had any problem importing text files into Excel with VBA.
Maybe it is a problem with newer Excel version? I have not much experience with newer Office versions. Microsoft seem to fuck up more and more with newer versions. I would never use any Excel much above 2010 for Excel or VBA, unless I was payed to do so.
Perhaps with PQ it is better, but most people with any sense say that Microsoft fucks everything up more and more for Excel and VBA above Office 2010.

Is this file any better for you?

I just made it like this:

I took your file, data-v9i8Rbfh1ul6_1diL56pb.csv , opened it with text editor

, then I deleted everything and copied all text from my text file,

, then saved it as Itchy Bollocks.txt
