Saving and Running Macro For Multiple Files / Users

Hello,

I have a macros I need to run on a file of variable name and was hoping to get some ideas from you on what would be the easiest way to do so for a non technical end user. I have a .txt file I need to copy and paste into excel and then run the code.

I was wondering if I could make it so that I can open a pre-coded spreadsheet that would then allow the user to browse for the file, find it and then run the code automatically. If this is possible, could you please provide a sample code? Also, please advise where would the macros need to be saved?

One way to do this is to put your macro in an add-in file, which will create a simple button on the menu bar (Excel 2003 or earlier), or on the Ribbon (Excel 2007 or later) that will call your macro. For an idea of an add-in, you can use any of the add-ins in this forum, or search for add-ins on the internet.
